Anne believes in creating a safe, confidential and collaborative environment for the counseling process. It is her desire to see you gain insight and personal empowerment to create positive change in your life. Anne’s client-centred approach works towards improving your daily experience by helping you set goals and begin taking the first steps towards effective change. Issues such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, loneliness, anger management, low self-esteem, life transitions, abuse, parent/child conflict, relationship issues, conflict resolution, stress management and communication issues, are some stressors that can be addressed through the counseling relationship. Therapeutic approaches include Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Anne is also certified in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) used for enabling clients to process trauma and abuse.
Anne is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and with the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors , Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. She has a B.A. from the University of Toronto, and has her Masters of Arts in Counselling.
